I have had the incredible honor of working with Ashley (as well as her family) for many sessions over the years! Everything from senior pictures, a sister session for their parents for Christmas, family pictures, real estate pictures for her mom, and now retiring fair queen pictures. This is the part of photography I love. Lately, I’ve been in the process of a little rebranding in terms of what my business is about. I’ve been pondering what it is that I want to specialize in when it comes to photography. I’m sure most would feel my specialty is wedding photography, considering that’s what I do most. However, I’ve decided to make it better known that it’s about so much more than weddings. I want it to be full circle. By that, I don’t mean I want to do everything willy nilly, but I want to work alongside you to photograph all aspects of life. Weddings to babies to families to seniors. Every part of life is important and preserving those memories of life is what I want to specialize in. As I was looking through previous sessions of Ashley after doing this session, this further confirmed my desire to be that full on lifestyle photographer.

As in previous sessions, Ashley was great to work with. She has such a fun personality and she’s a natural in front of the camera. There were times during the session that as I was photographing her, we were actually carrying on a conversation, during these times there was no pose, it was totally relaxed, but in camera, it looked like it was a posed moment. I have had the opportunity to watch Ashley through social media on her journey as Effingham County Queen, so I wanted to make sure that these pictures turned out in a way that not only preserved these moments as queen but helped celebrate this past year. I’m super happy with the pictures we were able to produce. The evening lighting was absolutely perfect. I had a ton of fun working with Ashley, and I feel honored to have had the opportunity to work with her again!
