It was the start of a double header wedding weekend for us and the first one took us up to Joliet, IL for Molly and Jason’s wedding. We’ve had the honor of working with two of Molly’s sisters in the past for their weddings, so having the opportunity to catch up with a lot of the family again was something we were looking forward to. The day couldn’t be any better for a wedding either with it’s fall-like temperatures (unless you stood out in the sun, then it was a different story), and partly cloudy sky, it was fantastic. After Molly and Jason got ready, we made our way out to Rock Run Preserve just minutes away from the hotel and minutes away from where the ceremony and reception would be happening too. It actually worked out to be right in the middle between the hotel and ceremony location. The preserve was perfect! Everything was in full summer bloom, and we had so much to work with. We started out with a first look and then moved on to pictures of the two of them along with their wedding part and family.
The ceremony and reception took place at 176 West. The hall was large and very open. This made for quite a comfortable setting for all the guests and the wedding party, and it left plenty of room for a rather large dance floor. This came in handy at the reception as the dance floor started to fill up! The day could not have gone any smoother. Every part of the day went ahead of schedule, and of course because of this, stress levels were a lot lower. We had a great time working with Molly and Jason, and of course having the opportunity to work with Molly’s family again! They were such an awesome couple, and we could not have asked for a better day to photograph their big day!
