If you follow me on social media, you’ve probably seen a number of posts on Pop-Up Sessions. I’ve tried to explain what they are in a quick bit in posts, but I can only say so much in an Instagram post until it becomes too many words for one post. So I’ll use this blog post to explain what they are. Pop-Up Sessions were inspired by Pop-Up Shops that might take place in large cities. Usually, these shops are fashion related, but not always. These pop-up shops will take place in a matter of hours, a day, or even over the course of a few months. I’ve seen a few summer pop-up shops from fashion brands this year. I love the idea of a shop being open for a limited amount of time and when it’s over, it’s all over for good. This kind of limited release is exciting and I wanted to bring that excitement to photography. I feel as though a lot of times, photography sessions have this stigma of being serious or so polished that they can’t be fun or even goofy. I want to change the outlook on photo sessions. I do not want it to feel like a chore. I don’t want it to turn into a negative experience because the kids just want to be kids.

Introducing Pop-Up Sessions. These are themed sessions that are either limited to a number of sessions or time. They might be limited to just one session, they might be limited to one month of bookings. Whatever the case may be, Pop-Up Sessions are also meant to provide a unique opportunity of having pictures taken at an insanely great price. Sessions will vary in price, but the heart behind them is to provide a unique style of session, very limited release, and a great price. No two sessions will ever be exactly alike. Ultimately, these are replacing what were mini sessions, but in a much more fun way. Some session themes we have done in just the past few months (from the writing of this post) are:

New Homeowners
Cooking
All About Dad
Just Because

As I mentioned, these are themed sessions. Below I’ll post some examples from each session in the order I listed above. If you are interested in being the first to know, sign up for our newsletter below, at the very bottom of this page.
