Tim and Michelle’s engagement session wrapped up our weekend festivities filled with a wedding, meetings and then this session. What a way to wrap it up too. Clear skies, warmer weather, and a couple that from the beginning was a ton of fun to work with. Most couples we work with are fairly comfortable at the beginning and begin to loosen up throughout the shoot, Tim and Michelle, though? They were amazing from the first click of the shutter. The engagement session started on some family property in Salem, IL. The property was full of trees, tall grass, an old building and old tractor. It was a perfect place to start. The lighting was simply amazing as well, and every picture had this glow about it that was for sure going to make it impossible for me to get rid of any during the editing process (and it was impossible!). Tim works as a mechanic for the rail yard in Centralia, so our next part of the engagement session took place there where we had permission to photograph on location. Typically I do not shoot on/near tracks because 1. it’s dangerous and 2. it’s illegal. But with having permission and access to some rails here we definitely took advantage of the location. Most of the shoot at the rail yard took place at an old coal shoot. I’m a fan of old buildings, I love them and this shoot was no exception especially with the old office next too it. Trying to picture what it was like when it was used, it’s just cool picturing this section of the rail being busy. tim-michelle-1033tim-michelle-1107tim-michelle-1144-4tim-michelle-1186tim-michelle-1258tim-michelle-1274tim-michelle-1325tim-michelle-1350

Anyway, it was a fantastic day for an engagement session. Tim and Michelle were amazing – the locations were just as amazing! We are thrilled to be working with Tim and Michelle and after this session, we cannot wait for the wedding day to come!!
