Over the years, I have had such a priviledge to work with the Carrells. Since their wedding many moons ago to today, watching their family grow has been so much fun and being able to photograph that growth has been even better! We decided to change up the scenery a little bit for this shoot and incorporate the park. This was my idea, and being honest, I was struggling coming up with a new ideas for their pictures. The past handful years we’ve done so many different types of locations, I wanted to do something that was different beyond just a wooded theme for pictures. I thought the park could be cook, and I found out at the session that Parker loves parks. Sometimes, if you ever think a business owner must know their clients so well they nail it every time, just know that every once in a while, a little bit of luck is involved. 🙂 Anyway, we started the session with some standard family pictures, just in case the park equipment led to dirty shoes, knees or elbows. Parker is always full of personality in the pictures. He’s such a fun boy to photograph. We then moved to the park equipment where I photographed life happening in the park. This is the part of photography that I LOVE! I love photographing moments and capturing life as it actually happens. I did not pose them, I let Parker lead and whatever happened, I photographed. It’s all a part of my love of being a storyteller. I love candid moments. I love how a moment of laughter can bring a smile to a persons face and even take you back in time and remember that very moment.
