It just hit me that my first 4 early summer weddings (including Abby and Dustin’s) are all outdoor weddings, and looking at the weather 10 days in advance so far every wedding day has had a chance of rain at one point or another. Dustin and Abby’s wedding, the radar had dark green and yellow directly above us, yet it hardly rained at all. Then comes Amanda and Todd’s wedding, every day for 10 days leading up to it the weather channel was saying a 50% chance of tornadoes and/or bad storms with wind, hail and lots of rain. We had a 2.5 hour drive down to Chester and the entire way down it rain, not just a little, but a lot! Needless to say I was beginning to worry what was going to happen. As we arrived to the bed and breakfast where the girls were getting ready, it was still lightly raining, nerves were still at a high at this point. After about an hour or so, the rain stopped, the wind stopped and according to the radar it looked like we were in the clear. After many, and I mean MANY, prayers said the wedding day had absolutely perfect weather! Throughout the wedding is was cloudy and slightly chilly which worked perfect for the pictures and for the wedding party who had to stand outside in the open. It wasn’t too hot, the sun wasn’t out to cause anyone to squint. It was perfect.
After the wedding we of course went out for a time of pictures with Todd, Amanda and the wedding party, and near the end of our shoot, the clouds actually started to fade away and the sun provided some great lighting for the pictures. It literally could not have been any better than what the day provide, especially coming from what the whether was predicting just before. Now, I knew that Todd and Amanda’s wedding party would certainly be a fun one. Their best man and maid of honor came with us to Las Vegas for the engagement shoot, so I was already introduced to what I was in for when it came to their wedding day. I’ve had some fun wedding parties in the past, and some interesting wedding parties, but Todd and Amanda’s wedding party… well, I think it’s one of those things you just had to be there to know. Words cannot describe how intense and how fun their wedding party was. It was certainly a night that we will not forget. 🙂
I loved working with Todd and Amanda again. They were such a blast and you not only see the love they have for each other in the pictures, but throughout the whole day you could hear the love they had for each other from the things they would say to one another. These two are absolutely perfect for each other, and I know that they are going to do great things together because while marriage requires teamwork, teams work better when you have the right people working together and these two are just that. Congratulations Todd and Amanda!!
