One session we get asked about quite frequently with weddings is our day after session. Sometimes, I believe it may be because of the name, while the name says “day after,” it’s never really the day following the wedding. Usually, it’s around two weeks later, but day after sounds better than a two-week-after session, am I right? Katy and Ben took advantage of the day after session. We did their pictures at the University of Illinois Arboretum, and as always this place never fails to produce. The fall scenery looked amazing, the sunset was perfect and the temperature could not be any better. One thing I love about day after sessions is that they are so laid back. We don’t’ have the stress of a wedding day timeline on our shoulders, no reception to get to, no worrying about someone running behind or anything of that nature. It’s an engagement session, except rather than “street clothes,” the couple is in the wedding dress and suit. These sessions are such a blast, and it was such a fun time having another opportunity to work with Katy and Ben.
