This year provided quite an opportunity for bridal shows but it also brought some challenges to the table to. We typically do 2 bridal shows a year and this year the shows landed a week away from each other, the first in Altamont, the second in Effingham. The great thing with this kind of schedule is many brides got to see us in Altamont and then see us again in Effingham. We love this exposure and the time that we get to speak with couples about their wedding day. We met so many amazing couples and heard some pretty unique wedding day ideas and plans!
The first expo took place at the Carriage House Event Center in Altamont. I’m always blown away every time I walk in the doors of this hall. It’s so big and very classy looking, and to be place in middle of the small town of Altamont, you would never guess that something so nice could be located in a town so small. I love it though, there really aren’t many options in this area for a high calls feel to the reception and Carriage House definitely brings that to such a rural area. This was the 2nd annual bridal expo hosted by Carriage House and it was a huge success. So many brides came through and there were a host of vendors available to help assist couples in their wedding planning process.
The next expo was in Effingham at the Thelma Keller Convention Center. This was the 25th year for this expo and they were going all out with their celebration. Radio, newspaper, decorations, the whole nine yards! Many vendors decorated their booths to celebration with the convention center by using balloons, signs, etc. We went the balloons route. Every year for the past 3 years we have used a double booth for the Keller expo. We want to show off a lot of big pictures and the only way to do is is to have a big booth. We love going to Effingham’s expo, it’s by far the largest expo in the area, and this year was proof of that with over 200 pre-registered brides and over 150 more that came in after! Insane! But definitely pretty awesome to be able to speak with so many amazing couples!
