Summer weddings are the best, because there’s so much daylight available to us. In the winter, it starts to get dark at 4:00 sometimes, I won’t depress you with that since we still have plenty of summer and fall left. 🙂 The day started out at the Lutheran Church in Salem, IL. This was a new location for us, which is always fun. The room we had for Casey’s prep time was full of daylight because of the floor to ceiling windows. Loved all this natural light for these pictures. Any chance we have to shoot with this much light for prep is always great as it really helps the prep time pictures look pretty amazing. After the ceremony, we made our way to the Gardens of Heartland in Effingham, IL. For outdoor pictures, we decided that it would be best to do them at Ballard Nature Center in Altamont, IL. It was kind of on the way and a location that I knew would be full of life and provide a great background for pictures. Outdoor pictures went by so smoothly. Casey and Aaron were such a fun couple to photograph and their wedding party was fantastic to work with. Outdoor pictures went by so smoothly. So much so, we ended with plenty of time to spare! **Just have to love being ahead of schedule on a wedding day**
The reception went by just as smoothly. Everything from the intros to the dancing. Casey and Aaron’s celebration was just that; a celebration. The dance floor was packed making for some unique and fun images from the reception. After some time of dancing, they wanted pictures outside. The lighting worked out perfectly as the sun was setting, we were able to get some pretty amazing sunset-lit sky images to finish off the evening. What a great day for a wedding and what a fun couple to work with, we had a blast working with Casey and Aaron!
