It’s been a minute since I’ve done senior pictures. If you follow my work, I’m sure you’ve seen that the senior photography presence has been at a minimum. I’m not necessarily known for my senior photography, but it’s one of my favorite types of sessions creatively. Because of it’s laid back nature, senior sessions usually involve a lot more creating pictures rather than capturing candid moments. I still keep it pretty candid, but I do love opening up photoshop and having a little fun with the image. Connor wanted to do some of his pictures in the gym. On the sides, near the ceiling, there were large windows. I knew exactly how these were going to be used before even taking the picture. I wanted a solo shooting hoops picture with light seeping in. As I took the picture, it felt very “Hoosiers” like and I wanted to give it a feeling of solitude. Connor was a lot of fun to work with and I’m thrilled he was up for me trying some new things and creating images.
