Beginning of May, our wedding season had officially started. What a wedding to kick the year off with too. Adam and Kerstine were pumped for the big day to arrive. In one of our meetings, Kerstine also set the bar pretty high with how busy the dance floor would be, including herself. I’m not going to lie, I’ve heard this before only to be welcomed by an empty dance floor. The day started at the salon where Kerstine and her bridesmaids were getting ready. Already, spirits were high and everyone was having a good time even with talk of rain coming. No one seemed to care, I mean, literally, they were just excited for the wedding! Um, wow! This blew me away. Kerstine would, later on, say during the rainy portion of the day that she wasn’t even upset, they were just excited to be married. This is so rare, but I love it! After the wedding, we were greeted by a steady rain going on outside. It wasn’t pouring, but it was steady, enough to soak you if you didn’t have an umbrella and when you are working with photography equipment, an umbrella is absolutely necessary. We went out to Sam Parr State Park for some outdoor pictures. We huddled underneath a pavilion, Adam, Kerstine, myself and two videographers. It was tight, but it was dry and we made it work. I’m thrilled with how the pictures turned out, not even considering the circumstances with it raining, but these two were naturals! Then, the reception came. The party was definitely in full effect at this point. Remember how I said earlier that Kerstine promised a busy dance floor? She wasn’t kidding. She was on the dance floor the entire time. I have mentioned to couples many times in the past if they are on the dance floor, their guests will be as well. These make for tremendous pictures when everyone is busting a move and usually there is quite a bit of laughter that follows as well. I love how their reception pictures turned out, as well as the rest of the wedding day images. It was such a perfect day, as well as a perfect way to start the wedding season!
