Back in the photo/video saddle with Amber and Kyle’s country wedding. Get the pun? Saddle… Country… it makes more sense once you see the pictures and see the way Amber approached the aisle. What a perfect day for a wedding. It’s early September and I hardly sweat during their big day. I’ll take this weather any day for a wedding! We started the day at Lexington Inn and Suites in Effingham where both Amber and Kyle were getting ready. I’m always a fan of hotels for prep pictures, because I know that no matter what we’ll have plenty of natural light flooding in. Often times at churches/venues we find out that the bride is getting ready in the basement or a room without a window, so we have to figure out a way to have her get ready somewhere else or find a way to incorporate some more light. After a short time of prep, it was time to get out to the location for a first look. Amber and Kyle’s wedding was held at the place they will eventually live. It’s also the same location as the engagement pictures. I loved incorporating a piece of their “home” into the pictures that would later take place on the walls of their house. I also loved that they used the location for their wedding. Years from now when they are sitting on their front porch looking out at their property, they’ll have some pretty amazing memories to reflect on, and they might possibly be sitting where they danced the night away during their reception. Pretty cool!

As the ceremony started, Amber approached the aisle a little bit differently than most brides on their wedding day; a horse-drawn carriage. It was very fitting for who they are, as well as for the location and overall vibe of the wedding day. The ceremony was perfect! The message that was delivered for the two of them and the moments throughout, it was a great ceremony full of laughs and tears. I loved it… especially since we had video. Raw emotions always make for some great footage! The reception took place just feet away from the ceremony under a massive tent. I LOVE tents! Not only do they allow for SO much room, but the white material makes lighting up the dance floor a dream! I shoot my flashes off the ceiling of the tent and the light is distributed so evening, it makes for some pretty great pictures! I loved having the opportunity of working with Kyle and Amber. The two of them have such inviting personalities and you feel like close friends after just spending a couple minutes with them. The wedding was perfect. The weather was perfect. The location was perfect. It seriously could not have been any better. Congratulations Amber and Kyle!
