I talk about it often, but fairground sessions are my absolute favorite themed session that I offer. Granted, I don’t really do a lot of themed sessions, but there’s something about the fair. I don’t know if it’s because it’s at the fair I grew up going to, the uniqueness of the session, or a mix of both, but I love being at the fair and more so, I love taking pictures at the fair. Speaking of growing up, I grew up with Nick when I was younger. We even did time together in 5th grade! HA! We had recess detention with each other. I love that life has come full circle and I’m able to work with him and his family, I’ve also had the opportunity of working with him in a more professional arena with the CEO program. What a fun session this was! This is actually my first large family session at the fair. Most of my sessions are families of 3 or 4, or just a kid or two, but having a family of 6? I thought it would be a challenge, not so much their family, but because there are SO many people at the fair. Especially this year since the high temperature never broke the mid-80s! It’s easier to isolate one or two people with a mass of people, but a family of 6? It actually worked out quite well. As it turns out, a lot of people don’t want to end up in the picture so when they see my camera, they take the long way around. HA! This allowed me to isolate the Glenn family with the colors of the fair. Their family was so great to work with and I’m honored to have had the opportunity of working with them again.
