Back to Lafayette Square for the second time in a couple weeks. I was just here doing Patrick and Lara’s family pictures. This place is absolutely amazing! The whole area is so nice and very unique. In some areas, I swear you feel like you are on the set of an old family TV show (Cosby’s, Full House, etc) – you’ll see what I mean in the pictures. This area is amazing! When I talked with Jessica about where we might go, of course the option of going downtown was on the table, but after spending time a couple weeks prior looking around the area and getting an idea for what Jessica and Adam wanted we decided that there was absolutely no need to go downtown – Lafayette Square has SO much to offer, and it did not disappoint.
Not only was the area amazing, Jessica and Adam were equally as amazing! I love it when couples are so comfortable with one another you hardly have to do anything to pose them. Just get them into a pose and the love they have for one another. Granted, not every couple has this comfort level, trust me, I know. There is a reason I stand behind a camera. The camera loves me, but only when I’m the one operating said camera. Needless to say, working with these two was a blast! Every location was perfect and they were a blast to work with. Of course, it wouldn’t be a city shoot unless we had someone interrupt our shoot. I remember at Blake and Crystal’s engagement shoot during a dip and kiss there were a couple of people behind me cheering them on. However, Jessica and Adam received the opposite response. As they were kissing a lady walked by and did not appreciate their kissing. It was definitely pretty interesting and in one of the pictures you’ll see the two are laughing. This laughter came from the awkward moment, but I absolutely LOVED this real emotion. Overall, it was a great shoot, We had fantastic weather and a beautiful location! Next up: the wedding day!
