I love it when days of sessions are just perfect. Jody and Matt’s session was just that, the temperature was perfect, it wasn’t humid, sunset was the perfect tone of gold, everything was perfect. And the session took place at Ballard Nature Center, which is in my own backyard (more or less). Now, I realize if you are local to the area, you might hear Ballard or see pictures from there and think, “Everyone has pictures there.” It’s true, it’s a popular location, but I tried everything to avoid going out there the past couple years and after many miles driven and walked with couples trying to find locations that provided similar settings and failing at find much, I decided if woodsy type pictures are what you are looking for, nothing in this area compares. It really doesn’t.

The amount of trails, trees, grasses, roads, etc that grace Ballard Nature Center provide an unlimited amount of picture opportunities and a crazy amount of locations to keep your pictures looking unique. Although, if trees are what you want for your background, then we can definitely get that there. Plus, the thing I love about the amount of locations is that we get a good amount of walking in just exploring different areas and seeing what we can come up with. I love adding a bit of adventure to sessions.

So when Jody said that her and Matt wanting primarily the woodsy/outdoors style pictures, I knew the perfect place. We met at Ballard and got right to it. And while there are lots of locations there, you can literally stay in one general location, spin a full rotation and have unlimited amounts of picture opportunities within that rotation. I had such a blast working with Jody and Matt. Can’t wait for the wedding day!
