When jodi called me about having me do her kids’ pictures, I was thrilled. Especially because she noted that her son, Lane was a little cowboy and her daughter Annie was a little model. I absolutely LOVE doing kids pictures. To be able to capture a kid being a kid, does it get any better? 🙂 Because of school scheduling we had to do the Lane and Annie’s pictures separately. So the day started with Lane coming in the studio with his Lebron James jersey on, and in a matter of a minute he had the tucked in white shirt and cowboy hat on. We started the shoot inside to get things moving and soon moved the session outside, where thankfully the rain had stopped for a minute for us to get pictures. We have literally had about a week straight of rain, and even more to come! Anyway, as soon as we got outside there was a noticeable change in Lane. There’s something about being outside that relaxes a person, especially a little boy.
The next day Annie came in ready to rock the house with some attitude. I definitely foresee modeling in this girl’s future. I’d snap a picture, she’d change her pose, snap a picture, and she’d change again! All that was missing was the catwalk to really work it. But Annie was a blast to photograph, and I don’t think she was ready to stop when the last picture was snapped. I even think she putting on some more poses as she was walking out! It was a great two session though, and I definitely feel honored to be able to capture Jodi’s kids and their personalities.
