It’s been quite some time since I’ve been down to the Southern Illinois University Edwardsville area. The gardens on campus are beautiful and provide some amazing backdrops for pictures. From the trails, to the pond, and everything in between. To start this session, however, we found ourselves at the ball diamond. I have never been here before, but it’s literally smack dab in the middle of some fields, and for anyone who lives in wide open areas, you know when it’s windy… It. Is. Windy! That was definitely the case starting out. We made the best of it, though, and had a lot of fun creating images on the field. If you saw my post on Astrid and AJ, I talk a little bit about creating edits from scratch within Adobe Lightroom, edits that are unique to me and portray a look exactly how I want. Kierstyn and Chase’s engagement session was the second session that I started using these new edits and I couldn’t be happier with how they turned out!
I loved working with Kierstyn and Chase, they were a ton of fun and provided for some great laughs (which turned out great in pictures)! I’ve said many times before, I love pictures with laughter. I mean, laughter is contagious right? I feel like when you see an image of someone laughing, you can’t help but smile to yourself. At least, I can’t help it. 🙂 After pictures at the baseball field, we did pictures at the Gardens at SIUE campus. As mentioned above, everything about this location is perfection! We started out on the trails and the lighting we had was amazing. As the sun set a little more, we wrapped up pictures near the pond. These have to be some of my favorite pictures! Perfect lighting, a great location and such a fun couple, it all made for some great imagery.
