Back to the old stomping grounds for me! I grew up in Ramsey and spent a lot of time around the state park, as I drove through town, so many memories flooded my mind. I’ve been to Ramsey a number of times since leaving, but maybe it’s because it’s been so long since I’ve been through town, I was immediately taken back into time as I cruised some of the streets I used to drive and go by places I used to hang out. Hailey and Tyler’s engagement session took me out to a part of the state park that I’ve never been to before. It was kind of a weird experience because the road out to it, I remembered many, many years ago but I reached a point that I had not been to before on that road. It was this sort of Samwise Gamgee moment from Lord of the Rings when he pauses for a moment before he takes a step further than he had ever been from the Shire. Yeah, nerd alert, I know, but it was a pretty odd feeling. What wasn’t odd was being able to explore an area I’ve never been to before AND having a sunflower field as a backdrop for pictures. Hailey and Tyler wanted the sunflower field for their pictures and also wanted to incorporate their horses in the pictures as well. Although it was a bit humid, it was a fun session with the two of them!
