This Fall has been the busiest Fall for me in 9 years of being in photography. It’s been exciting, but it’s also been quite a learning experience. I love that I get to work in an arena where I’m constantly learning new ways of making my business better. This year was not only about producing great work but time management. Many days this Fall I was out of the office more than I was in it, which is great, but when you aren’t in the office, it’s a little challenging to work on pictures. I’ve had to evolve and figure out a way to make that work and I find myself editing while I’m out a lot more now. Rescheduling sessions have also proven to be difficult this year. One thing that’s not been so difficult is getting those amazing Fall colors in pictures! I love that we’ve had a normal Fall this year where the colors stuck around longer than 18 hours. As a photographer, I’ve been especially thankful for this. The evening of Megan’s senior session was probably the peak of those colors and they did not disappoint. The colors were amazing, and the evening light we had to work with was even more amazing. As the sun started to set, the light was so soft that she was able to look in that direction causing her face to be lit up naturally by the sun. I used this little boost of light to my advantage and captured the amazing sky and even more amazing colors in the images along with the insanely still pond. We couldn’t have asked for a better situation for pictures. It was absolutely perfect!
