This is a session I’ve been looking forward to for quite a while. Scott is a good friend from high school and we are closer now than we were in high school. When he and Jess got engaged and then asked me to do their engagement pictures, I was beyond thrilled… especially when they mentioned that Taco Bell would be a part of their engagement pictures. If you know Scott, you know that he more than likely singlehandedly keeps Taco Bell in business, so pictures at Taco Bell were a given. They even had a few props for the pictures there too! All of a sudden I find myself craving Taco Bell, maybe I shouldn’t have started writing this blog on an empty stomach!
I also very much love sessions at Shelbyville, IL. Everything from the downtown, the lake, the trails, there’s so much to offer in such a small town. Locally, it is by far my favorite town to photograph in. Scott is a fireman for the city and after a little time on the trails for pictures, we moved over to the fire station to get some fire engine shots. These two were naturals! They were so great to work with and Jess’ red dress went well with the red fire engine! Then, the tasty pictures happened! We moved over to Taco Bell and did pictures on the inside, date night style, and then outside of the restaurant where they used some of their props. These turned out to be pretty hilarious! AND, on Instagram, Taco Bell’s official IG responded to the image, so that was pretty exciting. 🙂 As the sun began to set, we did some pictures downtown and with the little light we had left, we spent some time out by the lake. The soft light of the sunset made for some pretty incredible images. I’m thrilled they allowed me to take their engagement pictures and can’t wait to celebrate their wedding with them next year!!
