There are some weddings where the couple has nothing but laughter throughout the whole day. This was one of those weddings. Melissa and Logan were full of smiles and laughter through the entire wedding day. They were such a joy to work with and photograph. The day could not have worked out any better. After a perfect prep time and ceremony, as soon as we finished family formals and packed up to leave for some outdoor pictures, the clouds started to get pretty thick. Fortunately, no rain… yet. On our way out to the outdoor location it actually started to downpour, but only for a few seconds and then it stopped, just for enough time for us to get a nice collection of pictures of Melissa and Logan as well as their wedding party. As we wrapped things up, it started to rain and continued raining for quite a while. The reception was held at the same location as the wedding. I love when weddings and receptions are at the same location, it’s so convenient for the couple. After the reception formalities were finished and we were wrapping things up on our end, Melissa and Logan wanted to end with some pictures outside with the night sky. It’s been a while since I’ve done a nighttime shot, but it’s such a cool shot. What a great day it was photographing the moments of the wedding for these two.
