Last Fall, I was contacted about doing sports pictures to celebrate Claire’s last year of jr. high sports. I had a ton of fun with these pictures. They were all for me trying some new things and see what we could create. I’m sure you know by now, but I’m a strictly on-location photographer. I do not do work in studio. I like working at a place that is actually meaningful to you. Whether it be the gym you call home for sports, or the field where you actually get dirty. I’m not about this studio business where I slap a semi-professional looking arena behind you. Let’s actually get into the elements and create something somewhere that means something to you. That’s what we did with Claire’s pictures. From the softball field to the gym, we tried some unique shots as well as created shots to celebrate her position on the teams and her enjoyment of the sports. Plus, having grown up in Altamont as a kid, being able to go back into my old jr. high gym was quite a treat.
