It was a cold early morning when my session with Lacy and Blake took place. So cool that snow was still on the ground from a recent snow and the morning sun was doing nothing to warm us, at all! That didn’t stop us though. Lacy and Blake wanted a mini engagement session so they would have something to put on their save the dates. First of all, even though it was freezing, I loved that it was in the morning. Morning sessions are so great because it allows you to get a session in but have the rest of the day to do what you need or want to do that day. Secondly, I love morning sessions because when the sun begins to rise above the horizon it makes for some incredible images. One way a morning session is better than an evening session is as soon as the sun meets the horizon, you know that regardless of how much time you spend, you’ll have plenty of light. As opposed to an evening session, when the sun meets the horizon, you have about 10 more minutes until the street lights come on. As I said, this was just a quick session to capture some fun images of Lacy and Blake, along with their furry family members. What a fun session it was. I’m all about sessions that have a little story to pair with them and having the story of a cold early morning session with some snow on the ground is always a fun one to be able to talk about.
