When I started my photography business in 2009, from the beginning, prints were important to me. You have to understand, during this time, digital cameras for consumers was still pretty new. When I was in college during 2005-2006, as a part of my college photography course I was using a 35mm SLR. During this same time, I was writing for the sports section of the local paper, again, still using my 35mm camera. Needless to say, prints are important to me because of these roots. Having a physical copy of a picture cannot come close to comparing to a digital copy of your picture. So from the beginning of my business, I began offering prints. In the early stages, I sold prints as a part of my packages, but as we dove deeper into the digital age, I made some changes, but one thing remained, making sure I offered prints was extremely important to me.

In regards to baby pictures, after having kids of my own, one year goes by in what seems like a blink of an eye! As a photographer trusted with multiple sessions during that first year, I wanted to make sure those precious little moments were not forgotten or lost on a hard drive. I wanted to make sure families had a keepsake of baby’s first year. As a part of my “grow with me” package, included is a fun little album highlighting baby’s first year. This gives you something tangible to hold and cherish. One of the goals of my business is to spark conversation through photography. When friends or family come over to your home and see the album sitting on a shelf, my hope is that good conversation comes from reliving the moments found within that album and I believe that this little album will do just that.
