By now, most everyone is familiar with today’s wedding album. Pictures printed onto pages in a creative collage, leather or printed cover, thick or thin pages, press printed or flush mount, the options are limitless. Regardless it’s a great way to present your wedding with multiple pictures easily compared to the old school slip in albums with gold frames around the images. For me personally, it’s a great way to get a good number of images from your wedding day in an easy to grab item. However, there is a huge difference in what many photographers provide and/or suggest.
Most people are familiar with shutterfly and the albums they have to offer. $50 without a coupon and wham bam you’ve got your album printed on 20 pages of cheap photo paper and a cheaply printed cover. Now don’t get me wrong, if you do a monthly album or yearly album of your family pictures, in my opinion, this is a great option! It’s cheap and easy. But for a wedding album? For that day in your life that only happens once? Those memories that will only be captured one time? For something that could very well be your first family heirloom? I don’t think so! It’s no secret, weddings aren’t cheap. They weren’t cheap when I got married in 2009 and they aren’t cheap today. Even if you try and get by on a budget wedding you are still looking at $$$$s of dollars. So why spend ALL that money only to have your pictures in a $50 album that will surely be lost or falling apart in a matter of years?
Our albums are very much the opposite of everything about this album. The leather is genuine. The photo paper is one of a kind and of VERY high quality. And the presentation of these albums? Forget about it! They are out of this world. Our albums are handmade and the attention to detail is the equivalent of a Ferrari interior. I refer to Ferrari because just like the car, many of our albums are produced in Italy! The lining is not photo paper, oh no, it’s a suede or fabric lining to add a touch of class to make it even more high end. And for some added weight to the album metal or acrylic covers are available. The pages are insanely thick to ensure the quality of each page is top notch and that the album will provide a life time of smiles and maybe even some tears.
I realize this post seems like a late night infomercial, but while I feel that most people are familiar with today’s weddings albums, I fear that most assume they are of shutterfly quality. Cheap covers, flimsy pages, and not very high quality. We don’t want this for our couples that book us. We want to ensure you receive the best of the best. Sure it means higher cost, but at the end of the day, after the last dance has been danced and the last piece of cake is gone, all that remains are the pictures and we want to ensure those pictures have a great home and the best way to do that is to put them into a high end, luxurious hand made album. So to just familiarize those who might be interested in what we offer with our wedding collections below are a few wedding albums we have done including one of the cases we deliver them in.
